The Cyber Security Information Sharing Partnership (CiSP)

ZOOC has been approved to join the National Cyber Security Centre‘s (NCSC) Cyber Security Information Sharing Partnership (CiSP).

The Cyber Security Information Sharing Partnership (CiSP) is a joint industry and government initiative set up to exchange cyber threat information in real-time, in a secure, confidential, and dynamic environment, increasing situational awareness and reducing the impact on UK business.

By being part of the NCSC CiSP, ZOOC will have access to the latest information on worldwide Cyber Security threats. This valuable information enables the ZOOC team to proactively notify clients of current and potential threats that are most likely to have an impact on their organisations. Equipped with this knowledge, we can further advise on how to mitigate the risk.

Since the launch of CiSP in March 2013, the value of this collaboration has been recognised by industry, with CiSP continuing to grow considerably. As of December 2017, over 4020 organisations and 9097 individuals have signed up for the largest scheme of its kind in Europe.

To become a registered CiSP member, a company must be:

  • a UK registered company or other legal entity which is responsible for the administration of an electronic communications network in the UK
  • sponsored by either a government department, existing CiSP member or a regional Cyber PROTECT police officer or industry champion.

We are grateful to our sponsor, Stephen Holton, Cyber Protect, Prepare & Prevent Officer at the South West Regional Organised Crime Unit. The unit leads their own proactive and reactive investigations into cyber dependent crimes, helps organisations of all sizes and across all sectors become more cyber resilient, delivers desktop exercises to test an organisation’s preparedness in the event of a cyber incident and diverts young people away from engaging in cyber crime.

The benefits of CiSP:

  • engagement with industry and government counterparts in a secure environment
  • early warning of cyber threats
  • ability to learn from experiences, mistakes, and successes of other users and seek advice
  • an improved ability to protect company networks
  • contribute to helping the NCSC make the UK the safest place to live and work online
